Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew of grounds people and arborists
- Prune and or remove trees
- Tree shaping, cable/bracing
- Hedge trimming/fertilizing
- Climbing trees with proper PPE and equipment
- Use of ropes to lower limbs and equipment
- Work from the ground using a variety of hand tools
- Drive trucks, operate bucket truck and chippers
- Service equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
- Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent communication with workers aloft
- Participate in daily safety meetings and daily job briefings
- Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies including the use of PPE at all times. Helps enforce job safety practices
- Keeps work area clean and orderly
- Perform work to spec stated on work orders
Qualifications:
- Must be ISA Certified- Or able to obtain within a few months
- Must be able to lead by example
- A proven track record for high quality work
- High attention to detail
- Looking for a self-starter with a great work ethic
- Able to clearly communicate with customers and attend to their needs
- Prior experience with trimming, chipper, and chainsaw operation
- A clean valid Driver’s License is required, Air brakes an asset
- Must be able to carry 50lbs at a minimum and work outside in all weather conditions
- Strong leadership, organized

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
