Summary
We are a small, growing Canadian tech company looking for a reliable self-motivated technician to do maintenance on our kiosks located mainly at the YHZ airport, but also around the city of Halifax. As the only employee based in Nova Scotia, you will be our boots on the ground, performing on-site troubleshooting and hardware swaps. This role balances roughly 50% hands-on physical hardware servicing in the field with 50% remote software troubleshooting from home.
-Hours: Full time permanent 37.5h/week
-Location: Must be able to get to YHZ Airport easily.
WHAT YOU NEED:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in computer hardware maintenance, technical support, and device management. You must be confortable working alone, taking initiative, communicating any issue in your region and must be self-motivated.
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading hardware equipment, ensuring reliable operation of all IT assets. This role requires good physical condition and occasional travel to different company sites.
-Comfortable with Apple hardware (macOS and iOS).
-Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of hardware components.
-Provide hardware support for Tablets, laptops and peripherals.
-Strong communication skills—you are our eyes on-site!
-Ability to pass airport security background checks.
-Own a car.
COMPENSATION:
-Salary based on experience (please state your expected salary).
-Compensation for mileage to customers outside of YHZ airport
Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
