Violeté has been open for 3 months and has been busier that even our most optimistic forecasts. We're looking to bring on full-time and/or part-time line cooks and pizza cooks to keep up with the demand!
About Violeté
Rooted in the warmth and simplicity of European tradition, Violeté is a new rustic European bistro inspired by the kitchens of Italy and Spain. Our menu celebrates forno cooking, house-made pastas and breads, coastal ingredients, and the seasonal bounty of British Columbia, with a forno oven at the heart of the kitchen.
The space reflects the brand: approachable but elevated, timeless yet fresh, warm, comfortable, and immune to trends. Violeté is designed to be a neighbourhood gathering place where food is shared, wine flows generously, and hospitality is at the forefront.
The Role
We’re hiring for two positions, with both full-time and part-time shifts available:
Prep Cook
- Prepare sauces, desserts, vegetables, and proteins as per recipes and chef's specifications
- Set up, run, and break down your assigned station
- Maintain prep par levels and proper FIFO rotation
- Uphold sanitation and food safety standards
Line Cook
- Execute menu items to standard during service
- Set up, run, and break down your assigned station
- Maintain prep par levels and proper FIFO rotation
- Uphold sanitation and food safety standards
Bonus if you have previous pizza experience as well:
- Hand-stretch and dress pizzas to spec.
- Run the gas Forno oven, managing temperature, rotation, and timing
- Coordinate with line cooks and the pass during service
- Maintain prep par levels for dough, sauces, and toppings
- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked
Must have a positive attitude and demeanour. The first rule of our kitchen is no a$$holes! Passion for food and delivering unique experiences to each and every guest. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as part of a team but able to work independently as well. Ability to multi-task is a must!
What We’re Looking For
- Prep Cook/Line cook: minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Pizza Cook: minimum 2 years of pizza experience (hand-stretched dough; deck or Forno oven preferred)
- Calm and efficient in a fast-paced kitchen
- Solid knife skills and strong attention to detail
- Available evenings and weekends
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
What We're Offering:
- Daytime, evening and weekend shifts. Start time is 7 am or 8 am for daytime shifts and ranges from 3 pm up until 5 pm for evening shifts.
- We believe in giving our people the opportunity to live their lives and do cool $hit! We never schedule more than 8 hours a day or 40 hours per week unless you want it!

- Starting hourly wage between $21/hr - $23/hr depending on experience. Gratuities are paid out weekly on top of this wage.
