Optical Sales Associate – Optometry Office
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Optical Sales Associate to join our growing optometry practice. The ideal candidate will bring experience in optical sales or patient care, with preference given to those who hold a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) designation or relevant optical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to patients selecting eyewear, lenses, and accessories
- Assist patients with frame styling, lens options, and lens coatings
- Educate patients on eyewear features and proper care
- Process sales transactions, insurance claims, and billing
- Maintain frame displays, inventory, and product knowledge
- Support the optometry team with scheduling, patient flow, and general office duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in optical sales, optometry, or related healthcare/retail setting
- CCOA designation (or working toward certification) strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Comfortable using practice management software and handling transactions
