Position Summary
The Program Coordinator plays a key leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of residential and support programs. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring high-quality services, supporting and supervising staff, coordinating client services, staff scheduling, maintaining regulatory compliance and training, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily program operations and service delivery.
- Supervise, mentor, and support frontline staff.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management activities.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with organizational policies, funding requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Facilitate Person Centered Plan meetings and required documentation. Support residents in achieving their individual goals and maintaining their independence.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, community partners, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor program quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
- Organize and facilitate staff training.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Disability Studies, Community Development, or a related field.
- Level 3 Program Coordinator training is an asset.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration among team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the employer.
