Duties
Assist licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems according to project specifications and blueprints.
Handle a variety of hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures.
Support the setup of scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment needed for plumbing tasks on-site.
Read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
Help with measuring, marking, and cutting pipes or materials using basic math skills for precise fitting.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
Participate in routine maintenance tasks on plumbing equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some construction or plumbing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in learning plumbing techniques and systems.
Familiarity with carpentry, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), or welding is advantageous.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and reading blueprints or schematics is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently while working at heights or around heavy equipment.
Willingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals.
