We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position will support the Controller in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, supporting key accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, helping with audits, and compliance.
This role will provide back-up and support for other accounting positions as required including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and credit as needed, and act as back up for day to day tasks for staffing coverage. This role will be interacting with Purchasing, Human Resources, Operations, Administration and Sales Departments and external parties.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting - Reconcile accounts, including bank, vendor, and customer payments balances,ensuring all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Month-End and Year-End Close - Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion, and work towards a five-business day month end close.
- Perform monthly variance analysis and assist with the preparation of financial reports and schedules for auditors.
- Budgeting and Forecasting - Collaborate with the team to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Compliance and Internal Controls - Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend and implement improvements to internal controls and accounting procedures to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
- Special projects - Support our ERP implementation initiative
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as necessary
- Maintain and manage records room
- Assist in the planning and implementation our new ERP system slated for 2026/2027
- Help with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, and filing
- Cross training in other accounting functions including Accounts payables (entering, matching, statement reconciliation, following up on missing paperwork, and filing), and Receiving
- To assist the controller as required and any other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
- Experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, month-end and year-end close
- processes. A CPA designation or working towards is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of accounting ERP software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of GAAP and other accounting regulations.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
