Job Summary
Residing within the accounting division of Toptable Group, this position reports to the VP Finance and is responsible for leading the finance team in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reporting requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide leadership to the accounting department and liaise with restaurant office managers
- Oversee and manage the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for each restaurant and consolidated financial statements for completion and accuracy.

Review and assist in preparation of monthly working papers and GL reconciliations
- Prepare working papers for annual audit and coordinate any audit inquiries

Manage finance systems and make recommendations in conjunction with Senior Accountant

Participate in monthly restaurant review with restaurant teams and VP Finance

Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed

Prepare month end financial reporting package

Prepare quarterly bank reporting and compliance

Prepare tax working papers and liaise with tax department

Recommend and prepare business analytics and reporting

Support the finance team and VP Finance

Various ad hoc and special projects
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

CPA accounting designation with at least 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience post designation

Hospitality, specifically food and beverage experience is preferred

Proven experience managing, leading and motivating finance and accounting staff

Ability to handle conflicting deadlines and priorities

Excellent knowledge of Excel, with proficient knowledge of word

Understanding of restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems an asset

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)

Self starter who is motivated to learn and grow

Attention to detail and meticulous with accuracy
