Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a comprehensive family medical setting. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and needs.
- Develop individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Implement pain management strategies to enhance patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to medical terminology standards.
Experience
- A valid license is required with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Experience in rural family medicine is an asset.
- Working in a family medical clinic is an asset.
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Prior experience with pain management techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and phlebotomy skills is advantageous.
