We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join the HaiNik Nutrition team to support residents living in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living settings. This role is ideal for a dietitian who enjoys geriatric nutrition, values autonomy, and is passionate about improving quality of life and making a meaningful impact on resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and monitor nutrition and hydration risk levels for all Residents.
- Complete scheduled nutrition assessments, on admission, quarterly review, annual review and significant change in status.
- Develop, implement and monitor individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Support nutrition management related to malnutrition, dysphagia, chronic disease management, wounds, enteral nutrition, hydration and weight changes.
- Participate in care conferences and provide resident and family nutrition education.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, food services, and other healthcare professionals to optimize resident care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation of interventions and progress notes.
- Support menu reviews, audits and food service quality initiatives where appropriate.
- Provide education and support to dietary, nursing team and care staff.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in clinical nutrition.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Dietetics, with good standing with the College of Health and Care Professions of BC (CHCPBC).
- Experience in Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, Geriatrics or Clinical Nutrition preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate problem-solving.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with computers, including experience using electronic medical records
- Must have proof of: Liability Insurance, WorkSafe BC Coverage, Vulnerable Sector Check.

Pay: $46.00-$55.00 per hour
