Company Overview
Kreekside Construction Group is an established residential renovation and custom home builder in Haldimand County. We specialize in large-scale renovations, additions, custom homes, and complex projects that require thoughtful planning and exceptional execution. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our management team.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with prospective clients to understand their goals and project vision.
- Working alongside our in-house Designer to develop and refine project scope.
- Visiting project sites to take measurements and complete quantity take-offs.
- Preparing detailed scope of work descriptions.
- Coordinating pricing with our trusted network of trades and suppliers.
- Presenting accurate, transparent proposals to clients.
- Supporting the Construction Manager by coordinating schedules, trades, budgets, and client communication throughout construction.
- Identifying potential construction challenges before work begins and incorporating practical solutions into project planning and pricing.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong construction knowledge, and the ability to anticipate challenges before construction begins. The successful candidate will develop accurate, transparent proposals that account for the realities of complex residential renovation projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of on-site residential construction experience with a thorough understanding of structural construction methods and the Ontario Building Code.
- 5+ years of experience estimating residential renovations and/or custom homes.
- Experience managing residential renovation or custom home projects from pre-construction through completion.
- Strong blueprint reading, quantity take-off, and estimating skills.
- Comfortable using estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and other computer-based project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients, trades, and team members.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory, as this position requires leading client consultations, preparing detailed proposals, and coordinating with trades, suppliers, and team members.
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience.
