Length of Position: This is a 6-12 month contract position.
Primary Focus
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a trusted advisor to the business across all aspects of HR including employee relations, recruitment and staffing, employee health and safety, organizational design, resource planning, learning and career development.
Accountabilities / Direct
- Recruit employees to fill vacancies.
- Resolve employee relations issues and address concerns
- Lead and train employee health and safety policies and programs to ensure the company is compliant at all times.
- Provide HR policy guidance
- Evaluate training programs
- Suggest new HR strategies
- Conduct exit interviews for all departing employees
- Communicate policies and procedures to employees
- Complete all incident/accident reports as well as any WSIB related forms
- Participate in creating new company policies and procedures as required by changes in practice.
- Works in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other relevant governmental legislation
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time
Required Skills / Experience & Abilities
- Proven work experience as an HR Business Partner
- Excellent people management skills
- Analytical and goal oriented
- Thorough knowledge of labour legislation
- Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
- BS degree in Human resources or related field preferred
- Able to efficiently make decisions and resolve problems
- Must be highly organized and flexible to changing priorities
- Strong communication (written and oral) and computer skills.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
