Yard location/Terminal: London, ON
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Shift Start Time: 7:00AM to 4:00PM
End time may vary ie. dependent upon unforeseen delays, freight and or route coverage)
Overtime: Paid after 45 hours worked. Overtime is based on freight volume, weather, mechanical delays etc.
What you will do:
- Drive a 53 foot Refrigerated Tractor Trailer on a dedicated route in London and rural area
- Pick up and Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time(Deliveries 5 to 10/ day and Pick-ups 1 to 2/ day)
- Perform hand bomb work - lifting up to 50lbs (rarely)
- Perform skid work using a Manual Pallet jack
- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Back up Tractor Trailer to the dock doors successfully
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc….
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

What we require of you:
- High School Diploma
- Valid AZ or Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License
- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Reefer experience is an asset
- Minimum 2 years of proven Commercial Truck driving experience in a Tractor Trailer
- Ability to drive and sit for long hours
- Ability to perform physical work using a manual pallet jack for skid work
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Customer Focus – experience providing quality customer service
- Adaptable to change and or foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to work on a team and being a team player
- Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
- Must have a safety and compliance mind set
