Established in 1994, Century Private School has offered a safe, pleasant and nurturing environment for students from Montessori to secondary school. We are currently looking for one OCT certified teacher to be our secondary school teacher to teach Math (Intermediate & Senior) and Science (Chemistry and Biology).
Qualifications:
- Ontario Teaching Certificate (OCT) in good standing is a must
- 2 years of secondary school classroom teaching experience
- Outstanding expertise in specified subject area(s)
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Secondary School curriculum and the Growing Success documents
- Excellent classroom management, organization and planning skills
- Great communication skills with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner
- Experience in using learning technology (Smart Board, Educational iPad apps)
- Creative, flexible, innovative, and positive approach to teaching
- Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills
- Understand the needs of students and goes beyond the call of duty
- Problem solver and solution provider when issues arise
- Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
