Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Reporting to: Logistics Lead
Must be located in Antigonish and have a reliable commute
Position overview
The Shipping / Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for all shipments in and out of the factory. They also will assist with the daily tasks of the operations to effectively plan, organize, and direct the execution of production. This hybrid role combines inventory handling, shipment coordination, and coordination with the operations team.
Key Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Shipping and receiving of all products, materials, and supplies.
2. Assisting in loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
3. Inspecting and verifying incoming goods against invoices or other documents.
4. Tracking inventory and keeping accurate records.
5. Unpacking, coding, and routing goods to appropriate storage areas.
6. Printing shipping labels.
7. Maintaining internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping.
8. Tracking inventory count for month end/year end or when required.
Requirements and Personal Attributes:
1. Computer knowledge: Emailing and willing to learn on specific shipping apps.
2. Experience in shipping and receiving is an asset.
3. Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
4. Experience using a pallet jack would be beneficial.
5. Comfortable with heights/ladders.
6. Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels.
8. Ready to help in other departments as directed by management.
9. Maintain cleanliness and safety in shipping and receiving areas.
Special Conditions:
1. Safety requirements on sites, protective clothing, steel-toe boots, and headgear.
