Gallery 7 Theatre is a community-based, semi-professional theatre company based in Abbotsford, BC, that is passionate about creating entertaining and thought-provoking theatre. We explore the spiritual, relational, and social aspects of the human experience with a vision towards hope, reconciliation, and redemption. Gallery 7 Theatre has been in continuous operation for 35+ years and we have produced more than 130 productions. Our recent 2025/2026 season welcomed nearly 18,000 theatre fans from across the Fraser Valley. Who You Are
We are looking for a creative, organized, and service-minded individual to join Gallery 7 Theatre as our Marketing Coordinator. This is a permanent, part-time position supporting the theatre’s marketing, communications, and audience engagement efforts across its productions, education programs, and community initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing and implementing marketing plans, creating engaging visual content, coordinating print production, and supporting digital and community-based marketing initiatives.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in executing Gallery 7 Theatre’s marketing and communications strategy. The position has particular responsibility for graphic design, print production, education program marketing, digital communications, and audience engagement, while also supporting promotional campaigns, community outreach, and other marketing initiatives throughout the season. They will also collaborate effectively with others in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
Job Description
This role advances the mission and vision of Gallery 7 Theatre by coordinating the day-to-day execution of marketing and communications initiatives on behalf of the Marketing team.
As an internal marketing project champion with a bias for action, this individual manages projects from concept to completion, including the design, production, and ordering of marketing materials such as programs, discussion guides, digital banners, advertisements, and other education program materials. The role executes projects across varied timelines, resources, vendors, and internal teams to ensure they are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with Gallery 7 Theatre’s brand.
General Responsibilities
- Champion the mission, vision and values of Gallery 7 Theatre and Performing Arts Society in all aspects of job activities
- Support the Marketing Manager and Social Media Assistant with campaign execution, content production, and audience communications
- Assist with email marketing, newsletters, and patron communications
- Contribute ideas and help implement strategies to grow and retain Gallery 7's audience base
Graphic Design & Print Materials
- Design and produce print and digital marketing materials across the season, including but not limited to posters, programs, flyers, postcards, signage, and ads
- Manage print production timelines, vendor relationships, and file preparation for print-ready outputs
- Maintain visual consistency with Gallery 7 Theatre's brand guidelines across all materials
Program Marketing
- Assist with executing a comprehensive marketing plan for Gallery 7 Theatre’s programs, including education, production, and community engagement initiatives across digital, print and broadcast mediums
- Design and produce marketing materials for Gallery 7 Theatre's programs
- Coordinate outreach to schools, community groups, and families in partnership with the Marketing Manager
- Track engagement and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
Administrative
- Assist the Development and Operations Manager with community outreach and engagement activities.
- Help maintain and update community outreach and contact lists.
- Assist with preparing sponsorship and partnership agreements and other related documents as directed.
- Assist with tracking outreach activities, responses, and follow-up actions.
Experience
Required
- A commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Gallery 7 Theatre
- 1–2 years of experience in a marketing role, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, with demonstrated proficiency in using multiple marketing platforms and software
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, with a strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent customer service skills and comfort engaging with the public, including speaking to large groups
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends during production weeks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for live theatre and the arts
Assets
- Experience in arts marketing, theatre administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with Spektrix or similar box office/ticketing platforms
- Experience developing or executing marketing plans for education or community programs
- Post-secondary education in marketing, design, communications, or a related discipline

Working Conditions
This is a permanent, part-time position based on 20 hours of work per week. Flexibility is a requirement as some weeks may have less hours and some weeks may have more hours.
The Marketing Coordinator will work primarily remotely and is expected to maintain regular communication with the Marketing Manager and other internal stakeholders through email, video meetings, and other digital communication platforms.
Occasional in-person attendance in Abbotsford may be required for team meetings, marketing events, production-related activities, or other activities that are best supported on site. Some evening and weekend availability may also be required during production periods and special events. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and maintain effective communication while working remotely.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
