What's The Role:
We are seeking a full time DAY SHIFT material handler to join our team. This role will be focused on receiving and shipping palletized feed ingredients and housekeeping tasks in our warehouse. Duties include:
- Forklift operation to unload and load palletized materials from trucks and containers
- Stage inventory for sampling, put away and shipping
- Carefully inspecting inbound and outbound material for damage and quality issues
- Managing inventory using barcode scanning equipment, dates and lot codes
- Housekeeping such as warehouse floor sweeping and waste disposal
What We Need:
You must be a safety driven skilled forklift operator with experience handling bagged and bulk ingredients on skids. To support our customers, we need candidates to be available to work :
- Day shifts only, 45 hours per week
- Monday through Friday from 0700 to 5 PM
- Saturdays from 0700 to 12 Noon
Here are some of the skills, abilities and previous experience we are looking for in our candidates:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehouse/food production/feed mill
- Licensed Forklift Operator with minimum 2 years verifiable lift truck operator experience
- Experience using Warehouse Management System tablets/PC's, labelling and scanning equipment
- Familiarity/previous training with HACCP/GMP protocols an asset
- High school diploma/GED
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Detail oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
- Superior customer service and communication, time management & organizational skills
- Team player with positive attitude
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must
- Ability to lift up to 25 kgs
