TradeSpace is Canada's first co-warehousing company. We rent private warehouse units with office space to 250+ small businesses across three Calgary locations — importers, e-comm brands, trades, distributors, manufacturers. People building real things.
The Operations Coordinator helps run one of those buildings. Not a calendar, not an inbox — a building, and the businesses inside it.
Some of your day is at the front desk: showing people around, answering questions, sorting out billing, the phone. The rest is on the floor in steel-toes — walking the bays, checking dock doors, figuring out who parked in whose stall, spotting the pallet stack that's about to become a safety problem, helping a member work out why their shipment didn't move.

You don't need experience. You need to be the kind of person who figures things out.
We'll teach you the warehouse side, the software, the safety rules, all of it. Most of what this job requires can't be taught — showing up, noticing things, talking to people, not waiting to be told.
Students and recent grads: yes, apply. Some of our strongest people started here with zero warehouse background.
What your day looks like
- Walk the site. Opening, walkthroughs, cleanliness, dock and bay areas, common space. You'll learn to spot what's wrong before anyone reports it.
- Be the person members come to. 40–60 businesses in your building. They'll know your name within a month. Most questions are simple; you'll learn the rest fast.
- Show people the space. Prospects walk in, you give the tour. You're the first impression of the whole company — we'll walk you through it until it's easy.
- Handle the unglamorous stuff. Move-ins, move-outs, unit turnovers, insurance paperwork, access cards, incident reports.
- Keep the place safe. Forklift rules, storage limits, fire lanes. Sometimes that means telling a grown adult they can't do something. It's awkward the first few times. You won't be doing it alone — we'll back you.
- Get your hands dirty. Moving pallets, shifting racking, receiving freight, cleaning up after someone who didn't. Not every day, but often enough that it needs to be fine with you.
- Help with fulfillment. Picking, packing, shipping, keeping orders moving.
Where it goes
This is the job our site leads come out of. Learn the building, learn the members, and there's a real path into managing one — or into fulfillment, sales, or head office ops. We'd rather promote someone who already knows how the floor works than hire a stranger.
You'll do well here if
- You'd rather be on your feet than in a chair
- Forklifts, freight, and loading docks sound interesting rather than intimidating
- You can talk to a first-time founder and a 30-year trucking guy in the same hour and be normal with both
- You notice things — burnt-out light, propped fire door, a member who's gone quiet
- You'd rather ask a dumb question on day two than guess wrong on day ten
- You can work without someone checking on you
You probably won't if
- You want a predictable, quiet day
- "That's not my job" is a sentence you use
- Dust, noise, and cold dock air in February bother you
What we actually need
- Legally able to work in Canada, full-time, on-site, weekdays
- Comfortable on your feet most of the day and lifting up to 50 lbs
- You can write a clear email — you'll be sending notices and reports
