Hiring Part-Time
We're looking for a mature and experienced individual with at least 1 year in a Food and Beverage/ Barista role! Our ideal candidate has a love for coffee, a passion for customer service, and the motivation to go above and beyond! As a Barista/ Cafe Attendant you will be responsible for creating memorable customer experiences and preparing orders accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Operate the espresso machine and other equipment to prepare high-quality and consistent beverages and food items
- Support promotional efforts by providing information about products and services
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns
- Ensure accurate order taking and POS transactions
- Maintain a clean serving and prep area, adhering to health/ safety/ food standards
- Monitor fridge temperatures regularly as instructed and take immediate corrective action if any readings fall outside the normal range.
- Regularly customer surfaces clean, including tables, the milk station, trash bins, and seating areas to ensure it maintains our standards
- Monitor stock levels by checking shelves and cold cases inside and outside the café
- Rotate stock and discount aged items to help reduce wastage, recover value, and maintain profitability.
- Conduct frequent store laps to address any areas needing attention (product placement, stock rotation, cleanliness, signage, and overall presentation)
- Complete daily Gumtree orders efficiently and accurately
- Promote the café loyalty program
- Educate customers about our compost & recycling programs
- Accurately open and close the café to ensure a smooth transition for the next/upcoming day
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
