Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer/Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order picking, and heavy equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and heavy machinery, contributing to efficient distribution processes in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment using order picker and warehouse management system
- Operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and scissor lift operations
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual labour as required for construction or warehouse tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating movement of goods within the facility
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures
Skills
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
- Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and load & unload processes
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related fields preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment safely
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for operating and troubleshooting heavy equipment
- Knowledge of construction or industrial environments is a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Attention to safety standards and procedures in a warehouse setting
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
