Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences through excellent customer service, efficient food and beverage delivery, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including proper food handling and food safety practices
- Assist with basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations in accordance with food safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed within restaurant hours
