SENIOR CIRCUIT BOARD DESIGN & REVERSE ENGINEER
Ensil is looking for a highly experienced Senior Circuit Board Design & Reverse Engineer to join our engineering team in Canada.
This is not an entry-level or intermediate position.
We are looking for someone who is already located in Canada and has a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in:
- Circuit board design
- Analog and digital circuit design
- PCB reverse engineering
- Schematic capture and circuit reconstruction
- Troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies
- Component-level failure analysis
- Obsolescence redesign
- Re-engineering legacy and unsupported electronics
- Multilayer PCB analysis
- SMT and through-hole technologies
- FPGA / programmable logic familiarity
- Embedded hardware and hardware/software interface understanding
- Creating technical documentation from incomplete or unavailable original design data
Experience in defence, aerospace, industrial or mission-critical electronics would be a major advantage.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take a failed, obsolete, unsupported, or undocumented electronic assembly and determine:
*How it works.
Why it failed.
How to repair it.
And, when necessary, how to redesign it.*
This role requires real engineering depth, practical troubleshooting ability, patience, curiosity, and the confidence to work on electronics where the original manufacturer may no longer exist or technical data may be unavailable.
Minimum requirement: 10+ years of relevant circuit design and/or PCB reverse-engineering experience.
Location requirement: Candidate must already be located in Canada.
If this describes you, or someone you know, please contact Ensil directly.
