Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Oscar or similar software systems
- Verify insurance information and process patient check-ins efficiently
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claim submissions to ensure timely reimbursement
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and rescheduling using Dentrix or comparable dental practice management software
- Support front desk operations by handling patient inquiries, confirming appointments, and managing patient flow throughout the day
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and medical privacy regulations
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and inventory management of office supplies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting, with familiarity using Dentrix or similar practice management software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems such as Epic
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a healthcare front desk role highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
- Proficiency with multi-line phone systems and office equipment
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills
