Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest service, a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in hospitality, food handling, and customer engagement while contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in all service areas, including tables, utensils, and serving stations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed to support smooth operations
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising service quality
- Provide guest services that promote a welcoming atmosphere, addressing any questions or concerns professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience is advantageous
