Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Advisor to join our team in Alberta. This role is vital in promoting a strong safety culture across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training programs and workshops to enhance employee awareness and compliance.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses thoroughly and prepare detailed reports with preventive measures.
- Collaborate with management and staff to foster a proactive safety culture across all departments.
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities, inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
- Stay updated on the latest industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements related to HSE.
- Provide consistent and accurate HSE advice and support to clients, contractors, colleagues, etc.
- Facilitate and participate in safety meetings, orientations and client or company specific training.
- Develop risk assessments (formal hazard assessments), site inspections, written reports, etc.
- Assist in client shut downs, turnarounds, projects. Occasional camp work.
- Travel to/from client worksites as required.
- Demonstrated ability in training & development to effectively educate staff on safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to convey safety information clearly and persuasively.
- Relevant certifications in HSE or related fields are preferred. Must have a designated NCSO certification.
- Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach towards continuous improvement of safety practices within the organization.
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
