Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Labour (Packer) to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting the assembly, packaging, and overall production processes within a dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in assembly, use of hand tools, and forklift operation, contributing to efficient production operations.
Duties
- Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and mechanical knowledge
- Pack finished goods securely for shipment, ensuring quality standards are met
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and products
- Support the setup and changeover of production lines as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Conduct quality checks on products during packing and assembly stages
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively
- Experience with packaging processes and materials handling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in industrial settings
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
