STK Synthetic Turf Kelowna is looking for hard-working, physically fit installers to join our expanding team. We are a full year round company that installs synthetic turf around the Okanagan, installs custom holiday lights, permanent lights and full build out golf simulators in the winter months.
Experience in landscaping, grading or ground prep is an asset but not required. The ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, be physically fit, have an ability to work well with others, and enjoy completing highly rewarding beautiful projects. As we are moving into our winter season – . Willingness to learn and a positive attitude is paramount. We are the preferred installation crew for STI Canada and it is common to have optional out of town work. Work out of town consist of full-sized football fields, baseball diamonds and golf courses across Canada, willingness to travel is a strong asset. This position will begin immediately and is a full-time annual position. We provide benefits and bonus structures for fulltime year-round employees.
Winter work includes installing and removing custom Holiday lights for our commercial and residential clients in November/December and February/March. Christmas and January are holidays.
Wages are very competitive and will fluctuate based on experience and responsibilities. Synthetic Turf, Holiday Lights and Golf Simulators are experiencing exponential growth, and this position has a great opportunity for growth from labour to lead installer, to project manager and estimator and sales if desired. STK is a rapidly growing company that has acquired 3 different companies in the last 3 years providing alternative work within our organization.
Job Duties:
- Operate various tools and small equipment, including - knives, laser levels, measurement equipment, forklift, shovels, hammers, drills, etc. mini excavator, power wheelbarrows – skidsteer experience is an asset but not required.
- Installation would include preparation of residential and commercial job sites
- Perform land clearing activities
- Read and interpret designs, structural drawings, and specifications to perform work activities
- Assist in the design, cutting, seaming, and installation of synthetic turf
Key Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Sports background is a strong asset
- Must be a self-starter, able to work on his/her own
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Capable of identifying problems and working towards solutions
- Courteous; has ability to interact with directors, guests and service personnel
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Knowledge of synthetic turf or synthetic turf installation is a strong asset but not required as training will be provided
