Overview
We are seeking a vibrant and knowledgeable Server to join the team at Pallino’s Italian Pizzeria. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the guest dining experience—bringing warm hospitality, expert menu knowledge, and a passion for creating memorable moments. You’ll guide guests through our authentic Italian menu, share pairing suggestions, and help drive beverage and food sales through confident recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all guests, ensuring each experience feels personal and authentic.
- Guide guests through the menu with confidence—highlighting signature pizzas, seasonal features, and beverage pairings.
- Build rapport with guests, anticipate needs, and maintain a positive, professional, and enthusiastic presence throughout service.
- Drive sales through storytelling and upselling, wine pairings, and dessert options with enthusiasm.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless service delivery.
- Maintain clean and organized sections, side stations, and overall dining room aesthetics.
- Handle payments accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Address guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and urgency, escalating when appropriate.
- Follow all resort and departmental policies, health and safety protocols, and liquor laws.
- Stock work areas with the necessary supplies and equipment.
- Work as a team member while maintaining a professional and respectful attitude.
- Assist with training new team members when necessary.
- Learn and promote resort services, facilities, and amenities, and direct guests accordingly.
- Comply with all company standard operating procedures and policies.
- Deliver service to homeowners when applicable, using a company vehicle provided.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the management team.
Qualifications
- Prior serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant, resort, or high-volume environment is an asset.
- Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality—especially Italian cuisine and wine.
- A natural people person—confident, outgoing, and genuinely interested in guest connection.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working on your feet in a dynamic, team-driven environment.
- Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining a sense of fun and professionalism.
- Able to work varying shifts, including weekends, statutory holidays, and early evenings.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Serving It Right certification required.
