Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within a construction or industrial/residential environment. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop essential skills under the supervision of experienced electricians. This paid apprenticeship is designed to provide practical training and foundational knowledge in electrical work, including reading schematics, using hand and power tools, and understanding low-voltage systems.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in construction or industrial settings as well as residential settings.
- Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for electrical projects
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and other electrical tasks
- Support the installation of low-voltage wiring and components
- Help with the setup and teardown of electrical equipment on job sites
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction processes
- Experience or familiarity with industrial electrician work and residential is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and measuring devices
- Knowledge of low-voltage wiring systems and power tools operation an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Willingness to learn new skills and work effectively as part of a team
