Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. This role is vital in ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers and supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring accuracy
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Provide friendly customer service, answer questions about menu items, and address customer concerns
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food industry standards, food safety protocols, and sanitation practices is a plus
- Experience with cashiering or using POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory
