Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to residents in a supportive living environment. This role involves working closely with individuals who have diverse abilities, dementia and who require personal care while also ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving, patient care, or assisted living settings, with a passion for improving residents' quality of life through attentive support and compassionate service.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Manage and support complex and/or challenging behaviors
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor residents’ health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support residents with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Document daily notes
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe environment
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to supervisory staff
Requirements
- Education or Training relevant to this field (HSW Certificate, Care aid Certificate, Special Needs Worker Certificate, Community Support Worker Certificate)
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, medication administration, and safety protocols
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is a plus
- Familiarity and experience with Behavior Support and/or Safety Plans
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Certification in caregiving or relevant training is advantageous but not mandatory
- Have or be willing to obtain Class 4 Drivers Licenses

Pay: From $25.95 per hour
