Lead Field Service Technician – Controls/Security
Responsible for responding and resolving service calls, providing technical support, and troubleshooting various issues for our customers, for Honeywell’s HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems. Additional responsibilities may also include technical delivery of small service jobs, preventative maintenance, customer training and installations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the necessary paperwork is accurate, timely and thoroughly completed with minimal supervision.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of field experience in HVAC or security experience, automation controls, life safety, and security systems
- Post-secondary education in electronics or technical field.
- Immunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act
Valid G Driver License

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $92,000 in London, Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Key Responsibilities:
Technical and Job-Related Responsibilities:
- Verify system functionality to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including testing, calibrating verify system and peripheral device operations as per preventative maintenance schedule.
- Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.
- Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches
- Maintain customer system documentation with any configuration or model changes.
- Respond to emergency service calls as required
- Keep abreast of changes and new developments in product and preventive maintenance techniques
- Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required
Customer Management:
- Promote, build and maintain good customer relations
- Keep Supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems
- Demonstrate system and provide training to customers as required
- Be aware of service contract scope of service, equipment coverages, and requirements
Health and Safety:
- Carry out site hazard and risk assessments for Honeywell tasks, including proper use of safety personal protective equipment
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for Honeywell’s assets such as tools, software, and site database
- Keep documentation and paperwork up-to-date
- Real time job reporting
