Who You Are:
Ground Effects is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our Operations team in Oakville, Ontario.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our quality standards and procedures are followed throughout the production process. You will perform inspections and audits, support continuous improvement initiatives, investigate quality concerns, and help maintain compliance with customer and industry requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Conduct and document first-off inspections and approve production start-ups.
- Complete and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and associated documentation.
- Identify, document, and control non-conforming materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in investigating quality issues and support corrective and preventive action activities.
- Issue and communicate quality alerts, rework instructions, and containment requirements as needed.
- Monitor sorting and rework activities and ensure required documentation is completed.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly quality reports.
- Maintain communication with production supervisors regarding quality-related concerns and performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process effectiveness, and operational excellence.
- Assist with product launches, trial runs, validation activities, and PPAP requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality requirements and initiatives.
- Perform required data entry and administrative activities within quality management systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience working in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment.
- Automotive industry experience is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
