Bridge to Communication is growing and we are currently looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to grow with us! We welcome applications from new graduates and are able to provide mentorship.
This is a position to service our families in our Markham clinic and in-home in the surrounding areas. Our clinic is located in Markham (major intersection: Hwy 7 and Kennedy Rd).
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and intervention to children with a variety of communication needs
- Provide evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment
- Coach and consult with families, providing appropriate strategies and recommendations for a child’s in-home programming
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- MUST BE registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Experience in paediatric assessment/treatment
- Experience working with children with special needs, developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder an asset
- Support neurodiversity affirming practices and Natural Language Acquisition
- Experience using play-based/child-led therapy with preschool children
- Must possess organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Certification of Hanen “It Takes Two to Talk” and “More Than Words” programs is an asset
- Proficiency in other languages an asset
