At Nita Lake Lodge, we believe exceptional guest experiences begin with a safe, welcoming environment. We're looking for a professional, dependable, and service-oriented Overnight Security team member to help protect our guests, employees, and property while supporting overnight hotel operations.
This is more than a traditional security position. You'll be a visible presence throughout the resort, responding to guest needs, conducting security patrols, assisting with overnight operations, and ensuring our property remains safe and secure throughout the night.

What You'll Be Responsible ForSafety & Security
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the resort
- Monitor for safety hazards, suspicious activity, and unauthorized access
- Secure entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Respond to alarms, security incidents, guest disturbances, and emergencies
- Monitor CCTV systems and investigate unusual activity
- Liaise with police, fire, ambulance, and other emergency services when required
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns throughout the property
- Monitor weather-related hazards such as snow and ice and take appropriate action
Emergency Response
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid within the scope of your certification
- Support emergency evacuations and incident response
- Follow all emergency procedures, WorkSafeBC regulations, and company safety standards
- Participate in health and safety training and emergency drills
Guest Service & Overnight Operations
- Provide friendly, professional service to guests throughout the night
- Assist with guest requests, directions, and transportation information
- Support the Front Office and Night Audit teams with operational tasks as needed
- Help resolve overnight guest concerns with professionalism and care
Documentation
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, maintenance reports, and shift summaries
- Communicate important information during shift handovers
- Maintain confidentiality regarding guests, employees, and company information
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in security, hospitality security, or a related field is preferred
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (or the ability to obtain one)
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification required
- CPR/AED certification is considered an asset
- Experience working independently and responding to emergency situations
- Hospitality or customer service experience is an asset

Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and patrol the property for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to emergencies
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
