Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Technical Sales Specialist to support customer growth, product application, and sales execution across a diverse customer base. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, serving as a link between customers and internal teams including Production, Engineering, R&D, and Sales. The successful candidate will assist with account management, technical product support, market intelligence gathering, lead development, and CRM administration. Ideal candidates have a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Support sales growth by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, following up on leads, and assisting with account management activities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, R&D, and Sales teams to provide technical support and ensure customer requirements are effectively addressed.
- Assist with product evaluations, testing programs, and documentation of technical results and customer feedback.
- Provide customers with technical information regarding product performance, applications, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the company CRM system.
- Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence to identify new business opportunities and product applications.
- Support marketing initiatives, including trade shows, customer visits, sample programs, and promotional activities.
- Assist in the introduction and commercialization of new products and applications.
- Ensure all customer, technical, and business information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Technical diploma, laboratory technician training, or degree in science or related field.
- 3 years of experience in technical support, laboratory work, or sales support role.
- Solid understanding of technical products or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with CRM or willingness to learn digital sales tools.
- Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

This is a temporary 12-month position. While the role is intended to support current business needs for a defined term, there is potential for the position to become permanent based on evolving business requirements and the ongoing contribution and performance of the successful candidate.
