About the Role:
The Receiver plays a critical role in the supply chain by ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt of goods and materials into the warehouse. This position is responsible for verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting items for quality and quantity, and properly documenting all received inventory. The Receiver collaborates closely with warehouse staff and inventory control teams to maintain accurate stock levels and support timely order fulfillment. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to prevent discrepancies and ensure that all products are stored correctly and safely.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory control role.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.

Ability to lift and move heavy items safely, typically up to 50 lbs.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Knowledge of health and safety standards related to warehouse operations.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.
Responsibilities:

Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and delivery documents.

Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate departments.

Accurately record received items into inventory management systems and update stock records.

Organize and store received products in designated locations within the warehouse.

Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
