Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder(CWB) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components using various welding techniques and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications. The Welder will play a vital role in supporting construction, ductwork, and manufacturing projects across diverse industries.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for accurate fabrication
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools to shape and assemble metal parts
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication
- Conduct rigging operations and assist with crane setup when moving heavy materials or equipment
- Support machining processes as needed for component fabrication or assembly
- Execute assembly tasks including ductwork, structural components, or custom fabrications in accordance with specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring mechanical knowledge and technical expertise
Experience
- Proven experience in welding techniques such as MIG and TIG welding within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate fabrication
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, rigging, and use of power tools
- Experience operating plasma cutters, press brake machines, forklifts, cranes, and other industrial equipment preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and quality control
- Knowledge of ductwork installation, construction practices, and schematics is a plus
- Prior experience working with hand tools, calipers, machining equipment, and power tools required
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding, fabrication, and industrial environments
