Yummy Slice Pizza Cloverdale located at 5639, 176 Street, Surrey, BC, is currently recruiting for the position of Pizza Maker/Cashier. This is a permanent, full time job which includes a variety of shifts, day shift, afternoon and late night shifts and includes weekends for a 40 hour week.
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Pizza Maker/Cashier to join our team. This role combines food preparation and customer service, ensuring that guests receive delicious pizza and a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent serving skills, and a strong commitment to food safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to company recipes and standards, ensuring consistent quality.
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including ingredient assembly, dough stretching, and baking.
- Serve customers at the counter or drive-thru with friendly and attentive service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process transactions efficiently using POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to promote safety and hygiene.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards is a plus.
- Strong serving skills with a friendly attitude toward customers.
- Ability to handle food responsibly and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Prior experience in the food industry or meal preparation is advantageous but not required.
Pay: $18.25-$20.25 per hour
