The Camp Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas and sleeping quarters in a remote lodge setting. Ensuring all guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the standards set by management while using the correct cleaning techniques and cleaning agents. Camp Attendants must be capable of communicating in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) with clients, co-workers and management. Be able to operate washers, dryers, vacuum, floor polishers and other cleaning electronic and non-electronic equipment and be physically fit. Camp Attendant rotations are 14/ 7 and average 10 hours per day. Pay scale is $200/day. Transportation is not supplied by the company. Candidates must find their own way (bus or plane) to Ft McMurray and will be picked up in town. Or drive directly to the camp
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
> Clean guest rooms in priority order as given by the Team Lead.
> Cleaning of guest rooms as per procedure set out by Team Lead including the following tasks;
o Strip linens, remove towels; wash and fold linens and towels.
o Wash, scrub and sanitize showers, sinks, toilets, door handles, fridges, sink knobs, chair handles, drawer handles, drawer surfaces, blind wands, shower heads, shower ledges, medicine cabinets, closet handles, TV remotes, desk, desk shelves, bed light and switches, etc.
o Sweeping, vacuuming, and moping room floors and well as common area and hallways
o Making beds with clean linens and placing clean towels as per camp standards.
o Replenishes all supplies and amenities – soap, shampoo, toilet paper
o Reports any maintenance requirements or special cleaning requirements to Team Lead or record at Front Desk
o Uses proper procedure when entering a guest room and uses the utmost tact and honesty while in an occupied room containing guest belongings. No guest belongings should ever be removed from a guest room, if you are not sure if something is garbage it is safer to leave it in the room until Team Lead is notified.
o Makes sure all supplies are stocked on housekeeping cart and in storage rooms and makes note of any products or supplies that are running low and communicates stock levels with Team Lead.
o Makes sure all vacant guest rooms and hallways are free of dust and odors.
o Follows proper lost and found procedures for all checked out guests making sure all forgotten belongings are accurately tracked and stored, with front desk being notified.
o Perform other job related duties assigned by the Team Lead; this may include common area cleaning, deep cleaning and extra laundry, as well as, in another department when required
