Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for wiring, conduit bending, and equipment installation.
- Perform electrical work related to renovation projects, new construction, or upgrades within industrial environments.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques to ensure minimal downtime.
- Assist with the installation of control panels, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control wiring.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, and multimeters; familiarity with power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of construction processes and renovation projects involving electrical components.
- Ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting across different systems. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality electrical solutions across various projects while maintaining safety standards at all times.
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
