Job Overview

Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety during heavy lifting or repositioning
- Conduct light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment to promote health and comfort
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Observe and document changes in health status or behavior, communicating updates promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care environments is highly valued
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those suffering from dementia is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration and mobility assistance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting with transfers or repositioning clients
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Basic understanding of cleaning routines to maintain a safe living space for clients
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), caregiver training program completion, or relevant healthcare credentials is advantageous
