About the Role
North Shore Premium Floors is looking for a friendly, motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our small flooring showroom in Central Lonsdale. This role is ideal for anyone who wants steady part-time hours, a relaxed work environment, and a job that’s easy to balance with family or other commitments.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers and help them explore flooring options in the store and online
- Learn about vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and carpet tile products (we’ll teach you everything)
- Prepare quotes through our system
- Answer customer questions in person and by email
- Handle customer payments, maintain essential POS records, and support client
- financing applications once the program launches in 2027.
- Schedule at home consultations for clients and confirm appointments by phone, email or text message.
- Manage the studio email mailbox.

Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using a computer (email, POS, basic data entry)
- Retail experience is helpful but not required
- Flooring knowledge is an asset — but we’ll train you
Schedule & Hours
- 16 hours per week
- Tuesday to Friday, 10 AM – 2 PM
- Occasional extra hours available during busy periods
- The contract will be a 6month temporary term, with the possibility of extending for an additional 6 months or transitioning into a permanent position.
- Expected start date September 15, 2026.
Compensation
- Hourly pay - $20/hour + commission on sales
- Vacation pay and statutory holiday pay as per BC Employment Standards

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
