If so, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compounding Specialist Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing both non-sterile and sterile compounded medications according to precise formulation guidelines, maintaining safe and compliant workspaces, and ensuring product quality and consistency.
Who we are: Helios Laboratories is a state of the art sterile and non-sterile compounding facility located in Markham, ON. We prepare compounded medications for patients, pharmacies, prescribers, and clinics.
Job Description:
- Delivers exceptional care and value to each of our clients
- Compounding Sterile and Non-Sterile medications, as needed in both departments
- Flexible and agile to respond to competing priorities, scheduling and busy time
- Works to be a high functioning and contributing team member ready to step in where needed
- Stock medications and related supplies; rotate and monitor stock
- Maintains a clean and tidy workspace
- Oversees the preparation and dispensing of both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescription medications to patients, pharmacies or medical practitioners
- Promotes and works to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Looks for opportunities to maximize patient care and revenue opportunities
- Perform Quarterly Inventory Counts
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of Pharmacy Assistant experience in Sterile or Non-sterile compounding is an asset
- Experience in sterile compounding is a valuable asset
- The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with professionalism and tact
- Ability to handle fast-paced situations, adapt to changes in a professional manner
- Ability to respect and preserve patient/client confidentiality
- Ability to communicate with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner
- Proficient written and oral communication
