Centre Background
Dandylion Daycare Centre is a non-profit childcare centre that has been servicing its community since its doors opened in 1982. Since then, the centre has expanded to a licensed capacity of 290 children ranging in ages 2.5 to 12 years of age. With programs located within the main and Annex buildings of Wilkinson Junior Public School, the centre offers childcare services year round, provides nutritious meals and snacks daily and an exceptional curriculum with qualified employees in each program.
ECA / Kitchen Assistant Position Summary
A part time ECA is needed to join our team for a daily afternoon position. The successful candidate will work on each instructional school day from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Full time hours may be available on non-instructional days (All PA Days, Winter Break, March Break and Summer Break). Key responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to:
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organized working area in kitchen at all times
· Handling and storage of food as per Toronto Public Health requirements
· Performing housekeeping duties on a daily basis (includes lifting, bending, washing, etc.)
· Reporting health and/safety concerns with Cook and Management as required
· Completion of daily logs and records accurately as required
· Supporting RECE’s within the programs
· Meeting children at bus drop-off area
· Possession of current First Aid and CPR certifications, as well as updated immunization record and health assessment
· Food Handler’s Certification is preferred but not required
· Successful candidate will be required to complete vulnerable sector check with Toronto Police Services
Pay: $23.16-$24.27 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 per week
