Dishwasher / Kitchen helper (summer 2026)
Dishwasher / Kitchen helper needed for summer camp located in Oconto, Ontario (1 hour north from Kingston, ON)
The 2026 season dates will approximately be May 1- Sept (TBC).
Great summer opportunity to work in a team environment.
Compensation
- Pay: $900-$1000 per week (Includes 4% vacation pay) with room and board included. Bonus upon completion of contract.
- 6 day work week (48-54hr work week)
- Travel expenses to camp site are reimbursed upon completion of contract
Duties
- Complete food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces
- Dishwashing
- Prepare food items according to recipe instructions
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Putting away deliveries
Skills required
- Criminal background check is required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to handle food safely and efficiently, ensuring quality standards are met
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
