Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of
personnel, materials, assets, and project management.

- Personnel & Trucking Scheduling - Responsible for scheduling field personnel for active and upcoming projects, ensuring crew availability aligns with project timelines and manpower requirements. Coordinate trucking for project mobilization and ongoing piling deliveries, ensuring equipment and materials arrive on site when required to keep crews supplied and projects on schedule. Work closely with the yard to prepare pipe load lists based on project requirements, ensuring the correct materials are pulled and delivered. Communicate schedule changes promptly with field crews, trucking contacts, and project stakeholders to maintain efficient operations and production targets.
- Internal Systems & Safety Compliance - Responsible for learning and maintaining proficiency in the company’s internal project management software system, including monitoring personnel safety documentation, certifications, expiry dates, and outstanding requirements. Ensure all personnel assigned to projects have the required safety documentation and certifications in place before mobilization, and follow up with employees and internal departments to obtain or renew documents before they expire.
- Equipment & Yard Supervision - Responsible for coordinating equipment repair requests with the maintenance team and following up to ensure timely completion. Schedule equipment availability for repairs while working with maintenance and field crews to minimize downtime and keep projects running efficiently. Coordinate daily tasks for yard staff, monitor performance, and lead daily tailgate safety meetings to promote a safe and productive work environment.
- Driver and Fleet Compliance - Responsible for monitoring driver Hours of Service (HOS) logs to ensure compliance with National Safety Code and provincial regulations. Maintain and track driver and vehicle compliance records, including certifications, driver abstracts, and pre-trip/circle-check inspections. Identify and report hours-of-service violations, expiring documentation, and fatigue-related concerns to the Branch Manager, taking corrective action when required. Support the maintenance of the company’s National Safety Code (NSC) profile and assist with audit preparation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Project Coordination - Responsible for coordinating smaller-scale projects from setup through completion, including working with customers to confirm site details, timelines, and delivery requirements. Coordinate project setup with the Branch Manager, field crews, and internal staff to ensure all requirements are met. Manage project changes by identifying, documenting, and processing change orders through the company’s project management system. Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for customers and internal staff regarding project scheduling, coordination, and updates.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously.
- Clear, professional communication skills for coordinating with customers, crews, and internal departments.
- Comfortable learning and working within internal software systems.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability for safety documentation and compliance.
- Ability to work well under time pressure, particularly around mobilization deadlines.
- Experience in construction, piling, heavy civil, or logistics/trucking coordination is an asset.
- Familiarity with National Safety Code requirements and Hours of Service regulations is an asset.
- This position works a 4-man rotation and is required to work through every 4th weekend as part of that rotation.
- Peak periods occasionally require an accelerated work pace, or demanding deadlines create pressure.
