Outdoor Lighting Installer
$23–$30+ per hour | 20–30 hrs to start → Full-Time | Permanent
Light Owl is growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on Outdoor Lighting Installer to join our team.
We design and install custom landscape and permanent architectural lighting on some of the nicest homes and properties across Metro Vancouver.
If you like working with your hands, being outdoors, solving problems, and seeing the finished product at the end of the day, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Install landscape and permanent roofline lighting
- Run wire, make connections and troubleshoot systems
- Dig trenches and install equipment
- Work with hand and power tools
- Work from ladders and at heights
- Help solve installation challenges on custom properties
Every project is different, and there’s plenty to learn.
Who We’re Looking For
No lighting experience required — we’ll train the right person.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and shows up on time
- Mechanically inclined and enjoys working with their hands
- Comfortable with physical work, digging and getting dirty
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Comfortable on ladders and at heights
- Detail-oriented and willing to learn
- Able to work throughout Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas
Experience in landscaping, hardscaping, construction, electrical, handyman work, or another trade is an asset.
Hours & Pay
$23–$30+/hour depending on experience and ability
20–30 hours/week to start, with the opportunity to quickly move into full-time hours as we enter our peak season.
Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, although some days may be longer or shorter depending on the project.
This is a permanent position, not seasonal work.
Paid travel time between meeting locations and job sites.
Requirements
- Valid BC driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle to get to meeting locations/job sites
- Able to work throughout Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas
- Comfortable working at heights
- Available to start immediately
