Welder TIG & MIG

Established in 1967 with a headquarters in Port Coquitlam, Stollco manufactures a variety of products for an array of industries. Stollco specializes in utilizing Trumpf machinery to complete jobs as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Stollco is searching for a Production welder to join our team at our Steel / Sheet Metal Manufacturing company in Port Coquitlam. This position is a day shift Monday 7:30am to 4:00pm. The successful candidate must be able to cooperate effectively in a fast paced, focused work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Precision weld metal parts using MIG and TIG welding machines and techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Set up and operate welding machine correctly
- Able to weld Stainless Steel, Steel and Aluminum
- Prepare materials: “The Welder clamps, holds, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain” proper alignment before final
- Check joints for structural defects and grind surfaces smooth.
- Identify issues and either fix or report them
- Operate equipment safely according to their intended use
- Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding equipment
Qualifications and experience:
- 2 +years experience in metal fabrication industry
- Valid CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) or equivalent welding ticket preferred.
- Must be able to read drawings
- Able to use calipers and measuring tools
- Able to communicate in English
- Punctual and reliable
- Positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Mechanical Aptitude
Skills:
- Able to solve problems and make good decisions
- Good communicator
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift ( 7:30 am to 4pm)
- After completing 3 month probation period, we offer benefits: health, dental, paid vacation
- Pay $ 28 per hour
