Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Barbecue/Salad Bar Attendant. This role involves preparing, maintaining, and serving a variety of delicious barbecue dishes and fresh salads in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety within the vibrant food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble barbecue dishes and salads according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad bar and barbecue station
- Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to meet safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are upheld
- Assist in setting up the salad bar for daily service and restocking throughout the shift
- Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Basic cooking skills related to barbecue preparation and salad assembly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety compliance
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
